Community Involvement
Having been born and raised in the small central Massachusetts town of Hudson, Bill Bowles knows the value of community. He has called Attleboro his home since 1980, where he served as a city councilor for fourteen years.
After retiring from the Raytheon Company in 2008, Bill opted to continue his sense of community service by running for the state legislature and winning a seat in the House of Representatives. The privilege of serving the people of Attleboro in the House has allowed Bill the opportunity to utilize a lifetime of private sector experience and knowhow in his role as a public servant.
It is Bill Bowles’ strong sense of public service that lead him to fight for and win the placement of a new state Registry of Motor Vehicles Office in downtown Attleboro. At a time when fiscal woes have forced cutbacks in many state services, Bill was able to help secure a facility that is both an economic, as well as service benefit to the people of Attleboro.
In addition, Bill Bowles has participated in a following local organizations:
- American Legion Post 312
- Member of VFW, Post 115
- Charter member of Triboro Lions Club
- Attleboro Council on Aging
- Attleboro Historic Preservation Society
